Behind Closed Veins

by lostsoul13   Feb 18, 2009

Wandering these cold halls
Seeing no one as i fall
again and again
treading through painfilled memories
such a black abyss
feeling nothing
i am numb
focus on these hideous scars
the tingle of these shaking wrists
feels like cold marble
carved into my naked flesh
Desperate to find solitude
some means of escape
heading towards this room
its made of ice
such sweet sacrifice it is
as i pull out the knife
a kiss so sweet
Velvet red
Falling away
seductive passion
This blade's mine
getting away this time
Behind closed veins
Seeing no one
i take away this pain
forgetting everything
if only for a time
wishing on this burned-out star
much too late
to save me from ill-gotten fate
Behind closed veins
This blade
will always be mine.
