True Love's Funeral

by RavishingEruption   Feb 19, 2009

I dress my best
I dress in black
It's been four months
Since that starting crack

I hide my face
I hide in fear
I cannot speak
So I shed a lonely tear

True love is gone
It passed away
Nothing could console me
On this fateful day

I can feel it
I can sense it there
But it's buried
Life and death are so unfair

I never saw it
It came so fast
Those quick four months
Are now the past

No future left
Nothing to hold
I'm simply moving
Doing as I'm told

I know it's gone
I can see its corpse
Once the vision of love
Now painfully warped

I can almost taste it
Something oh so sweet
I never thought that
Death and Love would meet

But met they have
And the stronger has overcome
The whirlwind stings
But leaves me feeling numb

I walk around the cemetery
Of broken shattered hearts
Here, in this desolate place,
True Love's funeral starts

You really should be proud of yourself.
There are a few spots the rhythm is of, but all in all it is amazing. Wonderful job babe!
