Scent Paints a Picture

by Kelsy   Feb 19, 2009

Smoke encircles every memory I have
Because smoke encircles every memory of you
And you're all I remember
An obsession for chocolate
Slick and smooth
You tasted like nicotine
Chocolate
Delight
A scent of pure pleasure
I buried into you
Just to catch a drift

It takes me back
Some nights we would sit
Silent as the vibrations you left me with
Shivers of want
Shivers of need
Shivers to keep me in a sense of greed

Your skin wrapped around me
Soft, sweet
Real
Drenched in your scent
Warmth that only you ever made me feel
Warmth that crept up
Surrounded
And attacked
Seeping out my pours
Making emotions more than just thoughts
But actions
Plots
To make us all a reality

You made me a reality

A sensual love poem that's a delight to read, with good use of repetition and great wording. Usually I find repetition annoying but in this case it was cleverly used, and I enjoyed reading.
