A LOVE NOT LOST

by XxDaisyxX   Feb 20, 2009

The arguing rages on
A disrespectful child.
Her mother doesn't see the car
As her tears run wild.

Only a child she is that day
As she argues with her mom
But after the accident is over
An adult she has become.

She walks away from a broken car
But her poor mother does not
Never again will she sit with her mom
Or let her temper run hot

For the girl a broken heart
For her mother a broken frame
But for both of them after that horrid day
Things will never be the same

As that teenager looks down
at her loved one
She makes the sign of the cross
And sends her mother a prayer
For happiness eternally and a love not lost.
