I Am a Monster

by Anaisthitos   Feb 22, 2009

I am a monster
With the soul of a tragedy
The heart of an angel
The face of destruction

I'm feared by most
Frightened by many
I'm lost, disoriented
In a maze of hate

I am a monster
Taken off my leash
Ungovernable
Vicious

Approach with caution
I feed off vulnerable pray:
Those who love me
and those of whom I love

I am a monster
Simply misunderstood
Unsought...
Just...scared...

I put on a disguise
To scare those away
And see who cares enough
To be brave

I am a monster
Lonely and morose
I'm not so vigerous and tough
Not so scary

I am a monster
I can't contain myself
I am a monster
Watch out!
