Blackened laughter by parental advisory

by RoseBlood   Feb 24, 2009

Some things seem hard for them to understand
Sometimes I feel she's losing her faith
They turned their back on her, let go of her hand
Not literally, but it feels just like that.

She's a smart hard-working girl
For me it's the best person in the world
Is it so wrong to accept the one she loves?
You seem to have forgotten all of your words

You were the ones telling us about true love
How it had filled your world from here to above
How it was hard for you to stay together
Your own parents had darkened your laughter

Now, why are you doing the same to your daughter?
Why are you darkening her laughter?
Does it feel good to see her sad because of you?
The story repeats, but who ever knew?

She's about to leave the man she loves
The one she fought so hard for
I'm so sick of your parental concernings
They're senseless, you should know

It's true when they say you end up
Like your parents, so old-fashioned
I hope I won't end up like you
I'll never forget this evilness glowing out of you.
