I failed

What i thought i could have done,
Is not that anymore,

I tried.
I did what I had too,
For as long as i needed to.

I thought,
I thought i could have done it,
I thought it was easy.

I fell,
I did good for some time,
But i slipped up, and learned the hard way.

I failed.
That slip cost me everything,
And i hit the dirt harder then i knew was possible.

I failed.
