Man Apart

by Jordan W   Feb 26, 2009

Your typical family sits around and eats
while one lone member
sits aside and stares
why does he not fit
why does he feel so apart
why does he feel so awkward in this house
one man sits to the side
and shifts uncomfortably in a comfy leather couch
blindly staring at a wall
wondering what happened to it all
when did he changeso much
when did he drift so far
how did he become such a misfit
how did he become such an outcast
why do they not look over and wave him closer
why do they not look over and call him near
one man apart
sits and stares
one man apart
sits and longs
one man apart
sits and shifts
in his uncomfortable chair.

Interesting piece for me, sad to think that there are people that have to go through such mental pain like this, but it happens quite a bit. Overall a nice write, would've liked to see punctuation within this piece.

    Peace, Joe
