Almost

Shimmering like dust my feelings toward you fly
Swirling through the night they settle on the window pane
Sigh
Your soft eyes like a starry sky reflect your interest
But the other stretches out his hands and pushes
The walls begin to crumble
And as they fall I can see your desire grow stronger
And stronger
But nothing is done
Nothing
You are the one who will see through the very depths of myself
Or so it seems
And time will tell whether my eyes will be as insightful or less
Your gentle touch on my skin extends further as though I can feel the caress on my very heart
The feel of your lips, the sense of your protection through the night haunts my dreams
How could there be anyone else but you?
Your immature nature is nothing less than humorous
The attraction deepened and the fluttering begins
The depths of despair reaches
You drift away but I know your heart has been touched
But the other reaches in
Crushed beneath his controlling fingers
The night is long
And you, my love,
Are nowhere near...
