An Unnamed Poet

by Jordan W   Feb 27, 2009

An unnamed poet
Struggling in the world
Impossible to gain approval
Impossible to gain despise
Main stream poets
Steal away all the attention
No one wishes
To deviate from the norm
They spin out rhymes and lyrics
With no thought from the heart
And yet so many millions
Flock and start
Seeing works of art from the soul
Seeing all they wish to be
And all they aspire to
Yet the little unnamed poet
Remains unknown
For he cannot gain a single glance
Cannot even gain a passing look
This unnamed poet sits and waits
For all the well known,
Were once far from great
And he bides his time
And scribbles away
Notes and phrases
Straight from the soul
That could touch every man and woman as a whole
If only they would spare a minute
And notice...
A single...
Unnamed poet.

Nice write. The flow was Okay, but not great, I'll elaborate in a minute. The structure just like the flow was just average for me...again I'll let you know what I mean in a moment. Your choice of words was well thought out as well as the over messege that lies within, good Job!

Now as for the flow, you have no punctuation what-so-ever in this poem. Punctuation is very important in poetry, it lets the reader know when to pause or stop as well adding to the overall flow.

As I stated above the structure was just okay, this could be fixed by structuring this poem into stanzas or some other form instead of just running it altogether.

Overall a nice write, keep up the good work.

    Peace, Joe
