Polish Angel

by Sarah   Mar 10, 2009

Through the silent halls at school that night
As the news spread all too well
We prayed, we hope that they were wrong
That the truth some one would tell

They said there was an accident
Just earlier that day
The details were not definate
But a friend of mine they'd say

The ground lay thick with ice
For the snow had come and passed
Two were in the car when it happened
But one of them did not last

He was a boy so young, so innocent
Just 17 in years
A good best friend of mine I'd say
It made me realize my deepest fears

But now he is in heaven
In a place were angels stay
He is gone but not forgotten
Our Polish angel, he remains

* As you can tell, a friend of mine died in a car crash on December 17, 2008. He and I were really close and it hit me really hard. I decided to write this in his memory among the other thing my school did in his honor. Gone but never forgotten R.J.S.*
