Now you see her, now you don't

by Still Slightly Broken   Mar 12, 2009

She's got her hands in her pockets
And a fringe in her eyes
She's got a manner about her
That makes you look away when passing by

She's got junk on her wrist
And bitten nails painted black
She's the kind of pretty that's missing
As if there's just something she lacks

She's got a pealing bell laugh
And a smile that never disappears
She's funny and smart, there for a friend
She's loud and pretty, theres nothing she fears

She's captain of the netball team
And always there to help
She's got flowing ribbon in her long blond hair
She's everything a girl she wishes she could be herself

Two different people, pushed into one
Two different stories, two different tales
One's the average popular teenage girl
The other's the one whose life continues to fail

Smart, funny, pretty, dark, different, depressed
Which is which, you'll never know
But don't blink now, you'll miss her changing act
Don't look away now, or you'll miss her whole show

This is my life exactly, except for the 'popluar' bit, I gave up on that..
it was destroying me even more.

    5/5
    great work, as usual!
