Alone is such an ugly colour
With violent, vivid shades of grey
Disgusting little fingers
Probing thoughts that hold no blame

Alone is such an ugly sound
Chalk boards amplified by nails
Shivers down your numbing spine
Exhaling fills the boat's small sails

Alone is such an ugly place
Like a vacant lot underground
No light to warm or calm the mind
No music but this ugly sound

Alone is such an ugly state
Of being, beginning here
No rainbows but this ugly shades
