Morning salutation to the sun, after a sweet and timid night

by sibyllene   Mar 15, 2009

Before the gathering of dust and time,
catches
a day's sunshine
Before the crumbling accumulations of
The conscious mind,
which clutters up that golden light
(the sun's liquid mead, filling the sky to the brim,
to spill it out all over
as evening breaks)
Before that,
There is dawn
Pure, clear as cold
water, too clean to face,
And your face there, almost
Next to mine.

Beautiful. I wish I knew you in person so I could give you a big hug and tell you how special you and your writing are to your face.
