Dance Shoes

by XUrXLossXNotXMineX   Mar 16, 2009

The dancer's shoes become their life.
The once brand new shoes now have a gnarled appearance,
They are the dancer's get away.
She meets each class with such exuberance,
Each and every perpetual hour helps her excel.
Her persistent effort and attendance prospers,
As her heart resigns to dance.

She dances across the floor so gracefully.
Memorizing every set of counts,
Learning every new routine.
At school she walks so timidly,
No one even notices she is there.
But she walks into the studio smiling,
With her head held high.

She puts on her dance shoes
And disappears into the studio,
Never wanting class to end.
