I'm sorry

by Jenn   Mar 17, 2009

Drowning in a pool of guilt,
How could I hurt you so bad?
You're the one I always ran to...
The best I've ever had.

Here I stand in front of your eyes,
Begging you to look at me.
Anger, hate, and pain,
are all that I can see.

How could I hurt the one person
Who meant the entire world to me?
Why do I have to say these things
That You know I didn't mean.

If I cry a few lonely tears,
Would you look into my eyes?
If I told you that I'm sorry,
Would You accept and not ask why?

If I could turn back time,
and take back all of my words,
You know it would only take a blink,
To change my entire world.

I've learned from what I've said,
Believe me, Love, it's true.
The world could come crashing down,
But I'd be okay if I still have you.

Please say that It's okay,
Tell me that you forgive me.
Tell me like you used to,
That I am all you need.

I will never hurt you again,
Never will I let you down.
I'll keep my wings from falling,
Never place you back upon the ground.
