Storm's Spell

by Lauren   Mar 17, 2009

Raindrops penetrate the fog,
Humidity eases.
Rolling cracks of thunder,
Support streaks of light.
...Breaking up the smog.

Fear pummels little creatures,
Nature welcomes the heavy storm,
Pitter patter of drops on the roof,
The sky flashes like a camera
...Revealing earth's wonderful features.

The wind blows,
The air surrenders and chills,
The clouds loosen.
Intensity lessons up
...Allowing the peace to grow.

Nothing compares to a storm's smell.
It relaxes your senses,
Releases the tension,
Forget your worries
...Get put under the storm's spell.

This is a great poem. I must agree that being in the midst of a storm or stormy weather can have a cleansing feeling. Loved the description. 5/5.
