Broken

by cLumsy   Mar 19, 2009

Beneath the guardian angel I seek,
A passionate embrace.
No fear of falling nor eternal dark.
Just the fear of empty promises.
Just fear of being alone.
Fear of losing you.
My cold hands aching to do their work.
Promising the demise I've always wished.
To break the wings of my angel.
And maim his loveliness.
So I may never shine under its warmth.
Ever again.
So the distance would he never attempt.
To cross.
So he would cease to protect what.
Isn't worth protecting.
My heart screams it's better this way.
But my tears say otherwise.
