Time to Cry

by InvisiblyHeartless   Mar 21, 2009

A few salty tears push through
Breaking the barricade pouring
Reassuring words aren't enough
Cascading down pale cheeks
The sunset of life fading to black
Everything pushed him away
Trying to seal her heart, protection
Shut out, abandoned, way to go
Showing the love is amazing
Until that person really leaves
It was too much, not good enough
Pain took over, enclosing life
Trapped in a cage, she sits
The bars holding her in the left
The lost hope she carried alone
Present in the shallow air
It's the only time she's ever cried
It's the only time she'll really cry
