So Much Time but None to Move on

I had the chance
But blew it
No clue what to do
No idea where to go
Many hits
But no courage to step forward

Feeling sorry for myself
Not moving on
Thinking nothing but "what if"

Days, weeks, months
Time seems so slow
Trying...
Failing...
Succeeding...

I notice something different
Such a happy smile
When I leave, so sad
I finally see it and
Asked for the answer
Almost not asking the question

I get the answer I want
Now come time
Speeding by me
But it is so much more pleasant
