The Lost Girl

by Ashley   Mar 29, 2009

I witness her trembling voice in the middle of the night
As she cries away her pain because she can't get it out of her sight.
If that tear drop falls, then all hell freezes over.
To keep it held within, she never remains sober.
Kicking and screaming wakes her through the night
Searching through the darkness to turn on the nearest light.
Looking all around her as she's forced to face her fears,
Stumbling on these wicked thoughts she accumulates tears.
Praying and Begging to God that he can take away her pain.
She hates it so much, she can't live so she shuts down her brain.
Shot after shot trying to avoid all the shame.
She gets so zoned out, she is finally calm and tame.
Her friends go around calling her "The Party Animal"
too bad they didn't know behind her actions was a true scandal.
