The Game

by Kristina   Mar 31, 2009

A person should not be punished because of their race, color, ago, or looks.
You should not judge a book by it's cover,
Nor a person by his or her color.
A person should not be starved, emaciated destroyed, or tortured because of who they are.
We all need to know that we are people,
and we are all created equal.
I know it's hard to believe what there people did, and it's hard to understand.
But when you crawl into their skin,
You'll know what thoughts raced through them:
Where's my family?
Am I alone in this death camp?
All by myself?
How will I get out?
I need to thrive.
I need to stay awake.
I have to survive!
Try asking yourself these questions,
and see what comes into your mind,
You're playing a game against your own kind.

Written in 2004 in memory of the people lost during Adolf Hitler's rule.
