A Someday Day.

by Hallo A Lilium   Apr 4, 2009

Beauty lies down on a bed of soft fragrant flowers
An incomparable elegance that starts to empower
The weakness of the heart starts to spiral out of control
You whisper to yourself about how you would give up your soul.

Time passes with a fervency that is unable to be hidden
Dim light shows off his face and reflect him as forbidden
Yet you long to wrap him in a embrace to see a smile
He looks heavenward and starts to hum tunes of a child.

A glimpse into a mans eyes that you have come to feel deeply for
An ocean of thoughts flow inside your mind oh how you do adore
Simplistic words that cause your eyes to widen of their own accord
Those eyes hold a truth that you cannot afford to try and explore.

It's a shame that you have to live together without being open
But a bright light promises a future full of absolute devotion
As you sit on a bed of thriving daises that slowly sway
All you can seem to ponder is that there will be a day, someday.

I've been reading more and more of your poetry, and I have yet to find one that is not really, really good. For reals. I really enjoy reading your work, everything is just...good. I don't even know what else to say. Definitely a favorite author :)
