Kurt Cobain "Copycat Suicide"

by Hologram   Apr 5, 2009

In memory of the children who lost their lives to copycat suicide when Kurt Cobain died.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Don't fit in at home
Until i heard your music
I thought I was alone.

Caught up in my misery
Searching for an end
Listened to the words you wrote
Thought I found a friend.

Misfits and innocents
Artists and the lot.
Found a brother in your voice
Who will never be forgot.

On the edge of darkness
Coming from the heart
Keeping it together
while tearing it apart.

On the day you left us
The barricades did fall
Crumbling around us
Orphans one and all.

They said it was deliberate
Leaving us with why
And no other solutions
But giving it a try

Sometimes things just don't make sense
I could see no other way
If they hadn't called it suicide
I might be here today.

Alternate conclusions
To what went on that day
Could have changed the minds of youth
To try another way..
