Replacement

by NaomiNeglected   Apr 9, 2009

Place in mind;
Hard to find.
Head and heart;
Set so far apart.

You love me is what you told;
Now I'm left here alone and cold.
Once in a wonderful place;
The dark and ugly is all I embrace.

Thought our love was stronger;
Guess not without it lasting longer.
Everything you said I heard;
But now I'm not reassured.

You taught me right from wrong;
Now I'm unaware of where I belong.
I ignored the consciences and let down my guard;
That was a mistake, you hit my heart hard.

I was out of your life, without a trace;
Considering how quickly I was replaced.
Now my heart lays at rest;
Waiting for its next ultimate test.

Our love ran its course;
Now I cease to hear your voice.
I left my heart open wide;
And watched my feelings wash away with the tide.

You are definitely unique;
So to speak.
But I'm so over thinking of you as a metaphor;
O' how so poor.

    Always listen to your heart
    and leave your mind with a question mark.

    BEAUTIFUL

    I think this should be titled... ''Replacement''
