Release Your Grip

by Jordyn   Apr 11, 2009

The days grow shorter
and my heart grows weaker
with each gasping breath.
Release your grip,
let it all go.
Kill your thoughts
live with no regrets.
I will do the same
once you persuade me.
Don't heed my warning
cause I'll stay inside
sleep now.
The world will go on
I won't confess anything.
Your secrets will be safe.
There never was a you and me,
you used me as you wanted.
I'll believe that I'm alright
as long as I don't see you.
Lets bring on the sanity
cause I've waited long enough.
Death is not the time
to finally let you go.
Closure has to be near
taunting me around every corner
making me hate each passing day.
