Like Glass

by Taylor   Apr 11, 2009

They say first impressions are never right
We say "that's a lie" for we know our power
When you meet someone, they're not who they seem
The feelings can change for the darkest hour

Not many have this talent, we're rare breeds
Others believe they know the truth
Though they are wrong, blind at the sight
No one else can withstand the energy of the youth

We know who people are from the first seconds
Their attitudes and lives, their past forming the days ahead
We sense their troubles and lies, their hearts and minds
Knowing their moves up to the day they are dead

We are soul-readers, we cannot be lied to or tricked
They can be seen through like glass, the vanity known to heart
Selfish, kind, daring, cruel, loving, heartless
We know who they are and will be right from the start
