A Moment In Serenity

by KeyxMashingxParody   Apr 20, 2009

A damp moonlight,
Blankets the serenity.
As fowl make melodies,
That cause disturbance.

Resting in their dreamland,
Comforting the night.
Flying, mid wing, over all,
The birds keep their watch.

Wind ceases it's breath,
Leaving chills behind.
Twisted roots of confusion,
A labyrinth of earth.

Insects swallow leaves,
Watching for the fowl.
One is captured,
A crow stays hidden.

Amid the water,
Among countless chills.
Breaking the moonlight,
Melodies kill serenity.

Or the Melodies breed serenity. I always like the poems that people leave here in the nature section of this site. I find many peaceful and wonderful poems here that are well written and free of all the trappings of love. Love can be overwritten by many - maybe even myself sometimes. Good love poems are hard to find. But when it comes to nature many do their best to write many aspiring work - yours in no exception. Keep up the writes and keep your pen close at hand for moments when you need to find a home for those words. Peace - Tom
