Bombed

by SoUrNameIsTia   Apr 20, 2009

A roar filled the bowl,
minimum of one million bears.
Cheerful crowd entertained by professional athletes.

One can't hear over the other,
even translate the schizophrenic talk.

The sound of a high "click!",
echos throughout the chambered walls,
of the populated stadium,
one side cheers,
the other side boos.

Every man, women, and child,
somehow together for family fun,
look up at a disaster,
tarted for first base.

2 seconds,
white slaps their eyes,
gold drapes over bodies like an uncomfortable blanket.

Debris,
chairs,
bodies and bats,
caps and food,
turf, walls....
the stadium,
lunge out and up from ahead or behind,
explosions take a domino affect from a missile.

People scream for help,
screaming through melting lips,
magenta shot eyes scribbled with blood.

Front row,
middle section too.
Limbs blackened almost deteriorate into ash.
Suddenly a women cries out,
through her slurred words,
half bitten off tongue,
"I hate you!"
she cries of blood and muscle,
"I hate you i haaate you".

Of what? Hate,
shall "hate" be the last words?

Her husband,
dead,
slain.

Catt, her best friend,
rolls over and coughs.
What's left of her lesbian stare,
is wasted right into the eyes of her best friend,
she coughs and drains a tear,
"I love you."
