Choices, *Inspired by my friend*

*One of my friends showed me her 14 page short story, it inspired me to write this*

Lying on something so smooth, relaxing,
Slipping in and out of conciseness,
Hearing my heart beating,
But in the way of the monitor,
Unable to feel; only seeing a small dot,
Surrounded by darkness,
And then I hear it,
A voice so beautiful,
So I fight back,
Just to see the one calling for me,
And as I start to come back,
The pain hits me,
The burning of my injuries,
Suffering a fate so unbearable, just for you,
And I made it, the pain increased,
The light of the room killing my eyes,
But I was not where I expected to be,
I was in the room, but staring at myself,
Surrounded by others I knew standing at my bedside,
The blinding light above me,
An outstanding voice from the light called for me,
Giving me an option, to go back, or travel at the side of light,
I chose the light, and as I walk away,
I could here my heartbeat on the monitor disappear,
I couldn't stand the pain and suffering of my life,
A selfish choice, but understandable,
I was unable to say my last farewells,
But was grateful to move on.
