Across The Vast Ocean

by Spoken Silence   Apr 25, 2009

** I know I repeated words at times, But I haven't written in a while, but I still think its a good poem **

I'd give anything just to hold you,
For one moment, one second, just once...

You once held out your hand for me to hold,
I held out mine to finally place it in yours.
Yet it was to far out of reach.

I blew you a kiss, hoping that would reach,
You caught it and placed it to your heart.

You held me close to your heart,
So I could feel your heart beating.
Yet it was to far to feel.

I sent you my love, hoping that would reach.
You held it close and sent me yours.

Not many things can cross the vast ocean
That separates our love for each other.
But still we withstand the longing,
Because we both know that in the end
The reward will mean the world to both of us.

I gave this poem a 5 cause it's touching to me. I read this as if it wasn't for me and I really enjoyed it. I rate it a 5 though I would rate even higher if I could. It's short, sweet, and beautiful. Yes you used the same words a few times but that really doesn't matter. What matters is that you write with your heart not write with others approval in mind thus this was a fantastic poem and a joy for me to read. Mahal kita beautiful ^_~"

    *EDIT(2018)*

If only you had really felt that way.
