Pain

My loneliness is overwhelming, hard to deal,
can't really explain the emptiness I feel.
a darkness seems to engulf my soul,
down my cheek falls a solitary tear.

My hands begin to tremble,begin to shake,
the slightest caress could cause my facade to break,
those around me cannot see inside the mask i have made,
each day feeling my chance for happiness fade.

it seems i have spent my life in constant wandering,
unable to find my place, I have begun to wonder,
has destiny assigned me the cruelest of fates,
living my lifetime without the love of a mate.

hiding inside, while outside it rains
