Three years, Too long

by troublemaker19   Apr 27, 2009

I used to love you,
I used to care for you.
I used to tell everyone I seen,
That you were mine.

I met someone else,
He made me see who I truly am.
I feel so in love with him,
I really am.

You diappeared, when he appeared.
You ignored me, when he gave me attention.
You turned away, when he turned into me.
You gave up, he put forth the effort.

I hate to see you go,
I hate to see you sad.
I love to see him come,
I love to see him happy.

You lost your chance, when you walked away.
He gained his chance, when he took your place.

When you came crawling back,
What did you expect of me?
To be sitting here waiting for you?
Expecting me to just take you in?

It does not work that way,
Three years, is way too long.
You had the girl you thought was yours,
Now you must set her free.

Find someone who will make you feel happy, and whole.
I found someone who will make me feel happy, and whole.
