Lingering on the edges of your thoughts
the lies you've been fed
the vultures who broke you and left you to rot

The distant past
that keeps on haunting your dreams
until your last

The truth that was never true
the little white lies
they fed you

The way you left
utterly and completely
gone forever

    I know the feeling, your first stanza was the best, I think this poem had more potential to be more powerful but i still liked it 4/5
