The Price of Freedom

by Travis   Apr 30, 2009

Lush green fields,
Bright blue skies,
Freedom forever...
But is it worth the cost.

A shattered life,
A broken heart,
A tattered soul,
And blood is shed.

"Carry on our dreams," he says,
"Our honor and pride."
The tears and blood pour down his face,
And he breathes his last.

One life lost, another restored,
Freedom for on, death for the other.
The burden of many, placed on one.
The price of freedom...

Is it worth it?
