Seasonal Mirage

by Krista   May 5, 2009

Apposite coats of winter and summer
shed their golden leaves in early autumn,
gaining new life in the late spring time.
Summer brings the bright, hot sun,
shining, keeping spring flowers thriving.
Fog and scents of rain fill the air,
bringing the oncoming showers forward.
Trees losing leaves of gold and red,
carpeting the bare ground with color.

Great work with this one, I enjoyed it. It was short but went through all the beautiful seasons we experience, and painted such vivid imagery in my mind. I especically liked this line

"carpeting the bare ground with color."
`Really loved this, carpeting was a unique way of describing how the leaves cover the ground with color.

    Well done Krista (:
