Always Did Like to Pretend

Dancing with you
Sing with you
Crying with you
Growing with you
Dancing with you
Singing with you
Crying with you
Growing with you
Dying with you,

I danced with you,
In your back yard,
The lights were low and you were on guard.

I sang with you,
In my bathroom,
The water ran and the bubbles were my costume.

I cried with you,
In the bright white room,
The beeping caused my head to pound.

I grew with you,
In out neighborhood,
I always knew that you understood.

I danced with you,
In the dancing hall,
The gold bands glinted and my mamma all she did was bawl.

I sang with you,
In the pink room,
She blinked her sleepy eyes and every day she seemed to bloom.

I cried with you,
In our big house,
She had borrowed my light blue blouse.

I grew with you,
In that small town,
Everyday was a challenged and baby you would win the crown.

I died with you,
In the end,
We always did like to pretend.
