A Breath of Unrest

by Indian Comma Bean   May 21, 2009

Like the moon before the tide,
My tears flow upon these beaches.
Like the sun upon the meadows,
My thoughts are choked behind the clouds.

Before the days are over,
Before the stars have risen,
These tears have been for you,
My thoughts, a fleeting glimpse of love.

Like a reflection in the mud,
Crooked smiles turn to pain,
Placid eyes return to grief,
These dormant evils begin to reign.
