Lies And Dreams

Sweet, blissful lies;
friends, family, love, and happiness
are nothing to my imperfect eyes.

can you cry with me?
hold me? protect me?
can you see how the world ill treats me?

loving, peaceful dreams;
those beautiful eyes- that gorgeous face
something I know I can't catch or chase~

scorn those sweet, blissful lies
and destroy them with hate-filled eyes..
erase those peaceful dreams-
because everything is not what it seems.

when nothing but hate is left, i know where I truly belong-
fade into darkness to never see the light again;
and make sure happiness never starts to begin.

    Well-expressed emotions and you wrote a brilliant write. My only suggestion is to capitalize all your "i"s, its just proper grammar. Otherwise, a very breathtaking piece, every line was worded wonderful and kept the reader reading. You will write great poems like this later on, I am sure of it. Take care and God Bless You!
