Alone

by Misunderstood   Jun 2, 2009

Mommy's always working,
Daddy's permanently gone.
Grandma now you went and left me in this world alone.

I became my worst enemy
Turned my heart into stone
Shattered my world into pieces
With hidden secrets left to be untold.

I took what was left of me, the memories which still remained.
And turned it into unknown history, my beauty I turned into shame.

You told me that only I could determine my future, but my past controls it now.
But it was also you who said you would always be here, and then you let me down.

Now I know I said I would be stronger, It was me who tried to hold on.
But I let go to release my heartache, and now I stand here
Again
Alone.
