Leave me

by Wings Of Flames   Jun 4, 2009

She came from the Earth,
Then left in the sea.
Your heart could be aching,
And decapitating me.

I'm leaving you a message,
Just to let you know,
If she's the one you long,
I will let you go.

The warmth in my heart,
Begins to submerge in ice,
I can't breathe you longer,
I must sacrifice.

Her grace collects you,
My faults are aware,
I'll be cut into pieces,
Because for you I care.

I'll love you forever,
As I open my veins.
I'll never forget you,
My last, painful stain.

It's a down side to me knowing how good you are - I'll hold you to a higher standard. Sometimes they'll be poems that I think for you, isn't that great, but for someone who's not as constantly talanted as you, I may congratulate them. this is such a poem. It's a good piece. Flows nicely, has a good range of words, etc, etc, but it's just not up to your level, in my opinion.
