Straightaway

by FenderGrl   Jun 4, 2009

It's ungenerous,
Straightaway before your eyes
And sometimes you may not realize it has passed you by... It's near.

It speaks loudly,
Loud enough to hollo at your ears,
And I heard it loud and clear...
It's running out.

It's been dragging,
Ungenerous, unfair,
Like you were...
It's almost here.

It will run past you,
Straightaway--
And straightaway I will fledge into an aviation,
And they'll be modifications.

But don't let it wist your happy home,
My feet are roadworthy,
Straightaway.

Straightaway into unfufilled dreams,
those which I had discarded-- for you.
And I must laugh and cry in the same breath...

The one thing that waited for me to wait for it--

It's time.
