Who are you now?
Do you even know
You've gotten lost
With no where to go

How long has it been
Since we've shared the air
How long has it been
Since we fell into a stare

Take a look back
We've come so far
I remember who you were
And I know who you are

The love of my life
My only one
My reason for living
Turned sour in the sun

Time to let go of yesterday
And embrace tomorrow
Thinking of you this way
Only brings me sorrow

All my plans for the future
Every idea of who I'd be
My place in this world
Involved you and me

I turn to the sky
For answers that escape
For a lost love
That's lost all shape

Dear girl
You bring me to tears
I want to love you
But not with these fears

I have to go
This place wreaks of betrayal
Goodbye old love
No more fairy tale

    Wow. This is amazing! I know what it feels like and I'm sorry you felt this way. There is a message, a story, even a cry out to the reader, if I may call it any of those, and it is extremely clear. The use of emotion and vocabulary go hand in hand to create a simple yet extraordinary piece.

    This was a nice poem. the flow got off a little in a couple of places, but overall, it was a good poem. lovely.
