Last 3 Words

by Michael Shrawder   Jun 6, 2009

This sunken ship was my hope
Remnants of fantasies
Now lies at the depths of the ocean
Hidden in the darkest shadows
Stained black by your vanity

Each word from your saw toothed tongue
Ripping at skin
Sawing through bone
My screams meld with your laughter

You want me to bleed out
Don't lie...
I can see it in your smile
I can taste it in my tears

3 lies was all it took
Each painstakingly spilled onto my flesh
Blood scabs over and flakes
Leaving a scar that
-While numb-Will kill me in the end

Your last three lies
Were my last three words
"I Love You..."
