I'm Dead to Me

by Michael Shrawder   May 29, 2009

Let this die
Burn in the ember
-That is my regret

Dead dreams:
Follow in my footsteps
Eat away at my core

Ignorance
Bliss?
Never

This mirror no longer reflects myself
These stories no longer tell of me
These pictures could never portray who I am

Death to memory
Birth to blackness; bitterness

I never wanted this
And I never meant anything more

Damn this day
For the fate of man
Lies is Liars hands

Guilt: My pride

*This is my favorite part. This was such a creative style. It's like nothing I've evr read before. Very different, but it's also effective for the story you are telling. This poem had so many powerful emotions. Very nice work. Nik*
