Blown Away

Gone with the wind my love has blown
as high and as far as the birds have flown

blown away like a newspaper on the street
as the anguish filled road falls beneath my feet

flying high as though a helium balloon let go
falling deeper and deeper because it's me doing so

he gets higher and higher so distant he's hard to see
now the world is caving in because he cant see me

he is so far there is no trace of him ever being there
i still remember the last glimpse of him in the air

me falling harder and harder feeling anvil bound
as rapid tears clash and crash to the ground

guilt and pain written on my face
because it was my love who put me in this place

the more he got high the lower i got low
so just like the helium balloon, i had to let go
