And in my mind I'm still wondering what that means
What do you mean its over ?
Is that the equivalent of no more you and me?
How could you do this to me? to us?
I thought we were on the same page
How could this relationship be fine, so perfect?
I could almost go off in a rage
So tell me what were we doing all this time?
Were we merely just playing a game?
Were your intentions to break my heart from the start?
My head hangs low in shame
I heard about this happening to other people
The forsaken pain of heartbreak
But I never imagined it would happen to me
Are you sure you're not making a mistake
Are you sure that this is it, that its really over?
Not even maybe one more try?
Baby I love you, is that not good enough
Is this truly our final good-bye
So here I am today writing this poem
About everything that's running through my head
For some reason I still can't process it all
Love does hurt just like they said
