Sweet dream, wonderful fantasy

by Jacqueline Bautista   Jun 28, 2009

Every night when I go to sleep
I dream of you coming back to me.

You're always waiting for me under this magnificent tree.
The same exact tree under which you first kissed me.

You're holding a rose, happily looking at me.
You're holding a rose with a beautiful ring hiding under your sleeve.

I start walking toward you down the path I waited so long to feel under my bare feet.
I start walking down the path with the warm sunlight kissing my skin.

When I finally get to the end of the path, I try to hold your outstretched hand...
But suddenly you, the tree, and my dream fade away.

I'm back to reality.
I know I'm awake.

I try really hard to make this beautiful memory stay in my head but I fail.

Fantasy.
That's what my dream really is about.
A beautiful and wonderful fantasy.

This piece was cute...Although i would suggest to reformat the stanzas..If you'll notice some of the llines were too long and not really pleasant for the readers to look at that could possibly avoid them from reading this...otherwise that was just my opinion but i did like the "tree" part... That was really cute..
