Jack

by Nina Star   Jul 3, 2009

I've been sat here all night just think about you
And thinking about how it's not even worth it
My back is crying out in pain
But I'll ignore it if it means I can see you again
I'll read and read and feel the passion in your words
Never really being able to understand
Understand that I am not the lucky girl
The one of your undivided attention
The one so lucky to have you affection
You words are like a blanket to me
Wrapping me in homemade fantasies
Of me being the one in your heart.
And it's so weird to see how much you have changed
From us being so close when we were little
To shy hi and bye friends
I can tell by the way you choose your words
That this shall not be the end
The sound of your voice tells me
That friendship is not all that can follow
And when I look in your eyes I can see the restriction
The longing to touch my skin
The longing to be touched by me
But this can never happen
We both have our commitments
It's such a shame they are to the wrong people
And as I sit here writing this
I know it's all a waste of time
Because you will never see this
And if you did I wouldn't have the courage to tell you the feelings were mine.

But in my dreams this would all work
And everything would go just right
And we could be together

Exactly how I planned.
