Friction

by likethewind   Jul 6, 2009

No kissing
No touching

Besides the friction between bodies.
Another night of emptiness.
Filled with that same friction.

All hope lost.

Lyrics spin through her head
Like water in a river
Running round and round
Over turns and curves

She tries to make it okay.
As the words and the melodies
Block out what is going on around her.
As the tears slowly run down her soft cheek.

But they both have desperate needs.
His of the friction.
Hers of the feeling of not being left alone again.
If even for a moment of pure hell.
Just to get her fix.
To feel another body next to hers.

Not for the friction.
But for the feeling.

All hope lost.

Everything spinning.
Like a childs merry-go-round
And when she steps off the ride,
She falls.

As if its possible to fall even harder,
Then she does.

And onto the next day
With a morning and a rising sun.
While she counts the minutes
Until the sun will set again.
Just praying to her god that the day will be over soon.
And the memories will fade
As the days pass her by.

Shes just trying to forget it all.
As her life becomes the lyrics that are flowing through her head.

Another night of friction
With no meaning and no feeling.

No kissing
No touching

Besides the friction between bodies.
Another night of emptiness.
Filled with that same friction.

All hope lost.
